Old iron spoked double-wheel hardware for carrying a barn sliding door.( or carriage house , old garage , etc. )Two iron wheels joined at the center. The wheels are 4" in diameter.1 9/16" wide overall, to the outside edges of the wheels.Inside width is a tight 13/16" ( the open space between the wheels ).Width of the spindle is about 1/2", between the wheels but not including the two hubs. All parts are made of iron.Hard to say exactly, but I believe this piece of hardware dates to the 1800s ( possibly the very early 1900s, at the latest ).Good condition, with just light surface rust and a couple of dabs of old red paint.Solid, weighing over one pound, and was clearly made to last. Not bent, and no wobbling as it rolls; the two wheels are still properly parallel.Still rolls nice and smoothly across a flat surface. Carefully packed for shipment to the buyer.
